Personality - Deme is shy with regular people, befriending only a select few and has a distinct fascination for dragons, dolphins, and firelizards. Curious. He has developed a big brother respect for the blue rider that brought his family to Pern.

Features - Demetrio has longish brown hair largely kept braided away from his face by his mother. His blue eyes are light and he has a crooked smile for just about any one. Demetrio wears standard civilian clothing in the fsp clothing. The colors in his clothes are almost always different from the last pair. Greens, blues, and yellows make up his shirts while dark browns and light tans span the range of his pants. His gather best lack any real professional touching as his mother cuts, sews, and selects everything for the boy herself.

History - Demetrio is a boy who grew up under the guidance of his mother Blanca and her best friend Akane. When his mother was assigned to Pern as a Candidate by the FSP Deme went with her. He learned shortly after arriving he would be fostered with the Japanese born dolphineer Akane Mizuno. Between the thrill of learning something new, the adventures he would have, and the inescapable sorrow he felt at being parted from his mother, Deme found a way to always be with her.
He bagged two flits and gifted one to the rider who brought them to Pern from the Station. The other he gave to his mother. His birth was hard on his mother, leaving her incapable of having any more children. He has never met his father despite his curious nature. Demetrio now resides on both Pern and the Station learning from and living with Akane about Dolphins, the sea, and everything in between.
Once he was captured, Demetrio faced certain changes in his life. Enid Ark planned to hold him hostage for his father's family when he was sent into the Nest for safekeeping. Gryft and the Nestling Atin (Enid's daughter) decided to rename Demetrio with the name Viyar. The pair hoped that the location of the boy would become lost and rumors that Gryft put forth had the boy murdered by some of the more rebellious slaves.
Viyar now faces an uncertain future where the only thing he knows for sure is that his life will never be the same. Viyar aka Deme is uncertain of his willingness to let his friend Atin be arrested by the PMR. He has developed a deep level of loyalty, commitment, and a depth of friendship for the older girl. He is unwilling to stay quite even when ordered to by people he would've listened to in the past.
Viyar has been kidnapped by a member of the Santiago family, D'ka Blue has vanished with him. What the illustrious family of Gaia has planned remains a large secret, but after the trauma of being abducted by Enid's people, being jailed by the very people his mother worked with, and the second abduction, Demetrio aka Viyar aka Deme remains a far reaching change that no one will be able to predict.
