I write this with tears in my eyes. One of the Greats has passed. A woman that I never got the chance to meet, but one who still had an effect on my life. And not just mine, but everyone else who reads this post.
See, today, we lost Anne McCaffery. The woman who created some of the best stories I have ever read. The woman who inspired all of the members here. She created the Dragonriders of Pern, the Brainship series, the Freedom series, and others. She was also the inspiration for Dragonweyr Station. If it was not for her books, the Station would never have been. It is to the memory of Anne McCaffery that I am now dedicating the Station to.
Here's to Anne McCaffery! A Great lady now gone Between from us. Long may her memory last, and long may the legacy of her many books remain. You will be sorely missed. Rest in peace.

A Dedication To A Great Lady; Tueday, November 22, 2011
"But Lord, during the hardest trials of my life, why was there only one set of footprints?"
"Because," said the Lord, "Sandpeople always ride single-file to hide their numbers." -unknown
