History - Kanyle is the middle child, and the only boy out of him and his triplet sisters Gyna and Kynli. Like his sisters, Kanyle was born at Star Stone Weyr, and mostly grew up there. His early life was spent in the creche, and learning his lessons from the various Harpers assigned to the Weyr, including Brownrider A'ren when he was posted there. Like his sisters, Kanyle spent time at the various Holds, and at the age of 10 Turns, was taken on a trip to Dragonhold Station. It was that trip that changed his life forever. Kanyle fell in love with the stars. He wanted nothing more than to remain on the Station. Reluctantly, he returned to the surface of Pern, because in order to Impress a dragon, one has to be on the planet, as dragons can not be born on a space station.
While Kanyle wants to be a dragonrider, and would be happy with whatever dragon that decides to choose him, he secretly longs for a Bronze like his father.

Everyone needs an early start, even the young ones.
