History - Tryn is the youngest child of the Lord and Lady of Cove Hold. Being the youngest made her feisty and more than willing to fight to get what she wanted. However, as much of a spitfire that she is, Tryn is also compassionate and soft hearted. She can not bear to see anything sick or injured. Once she was old enough to be apprenticed to a Healer, Tryn discovered one major drawback- she faints at the sight of a lot of blood.
Tryn is close to her cousin, Icoda, whom she spent a lot of time with as a child and teenager. Icoda's father would send his daughter to the South to stay with Tryn's family. The girls were close, and it was due to Icoda's influence that Tryn would opt to apprentice herself as a Healer's Assistant. Tryn would look forward to that time, and dread it when her mother would get tired of the antics and send Icoda back to her father. Once both girls were old enough to attend Healer classes at the University at Landing, did they get to spend more than a couple of months together.
Upon walking the tables at the Healer Hall, to become a Healer's Assistant (think nurse), Tryn was posted to Star Stone Weyr to assist her cousin, Icoda.
