History - He was raised to take over the wher handling at home. Then he was Searched at twelve, argued to allowed to go to High Reaches and became a dragon rider. He was probably better prepared for the life then others and woefully under prepared to deal with a dragon. Whers and Dragons were two very different types of creatures after all. They're needs and desires while similar were incredibly different and all his experience with his mother's Wher left him reeling with confusion the Queens quickly picked up on. A rare sight when a weyrwoman pulled him aside and began to explain the differences between raising a dragon as to handling a wher.
D'que was still reeling when he Impressed Sidiuth. The matter in which his dragon snuck up on him did not help his nerves. He was literally ambushed, held down, and immobilized by the little brute. All so the dragonet could demand his attention, the shiny thing around his neck, and the food.
His acquisition of the flit was even more of a surprise as Sidiuth stumbled onto the nest in his hunt for lake side 'rocks' to harvest.
